Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site is pleased to partner with Wyoming Game & Fish as part of the G & F “Access Yes” program. The program was developed by Wyoming G & F to maintain and enhance hunter access by forging agreements with landowners who control large expanses of Wyoming’s open spaces.

Youth Pheasant Hunt Offers Unique Landscape for Young
THIS YEAR THE YOUTH PHEASANT HUNT IS OPEN TO FAMILIES - NO NEED TO SIGN UP
(All adult hunters must have valid licenses and
conservation stamps)

Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site hosts the
Annual Kids’ Pheasant Hunt on
November 26th and 27th, 2022
​
The event is an opportunity for families and friends wanting to hunt with young people ages 17 and
younger to harvest pheasants, practice safe hunting skills, and enjoy the Piney Creek landscape at
the historic Fort grounds.
​
All adult hunters must have valid licenses and conservation stamps.
​
Cost is $4 per adult for Wyoming Residents and $8 per adult for Out-of-State Hunters.
Hunters can come and go as they please.
Hunters ages 17 and under will hunt free. The Annual Fort Phil Kearny Kids’ Hunt is made possible by a partnership with Wyoming Game and Fish Department.
Fort Phil Kearny State History Site is located at 528 Wagon Box Rd in Banner, Wyoming.
